Vermont T's sign businessYour business sign says a lot about your company. It’s usually the first impression someone makes with your business and it can either go really well…or really wrong. Having an old or out-dated sign might tell the public that you don’t take that much pride in your work or products.

Your sign is your 24/7 salesperson and you want that person to be on point and ready to go at all times. If you’re looking into a new sign for your company there are a couple things to consider.

Color:

Your sign color is going to be one of the first things to hit people, so it’s very important to that it conveys exactly what you want it to and leaves a lasting impression. Think of McDonald’s, Coke, or Red Bull; the colors these brands use help form their identity and I bet you could pick them out of a crowd.

If your brand is already established and not looking for a logo overhaul, you should stick with the colors you are already using as a base. Consistent branding is key in all your marketing endeavors.

Size:

Depending on where your sign is, the best rule of thumb is to go big. If someone is driving by at 45 mph, they might not be able to read your sign with 1 inch high letters. Take in careful consideration what you want to include on the sign and how much space that should take up. We can help you with this process.

Type:

There are a couple of things your sign must include for brand awareness; your company name and logo. Other important information can be phone number, address, tagline, etc. The exact content will depend on the placement of your sign and the message you’re trying to convey. If the sign is right in front of your business you won’t need the address on it.
